"Cracker Barrel" Hashbrown Casserole



This recipe is a copy of Cracker Barrel's Hashbrown Casserole but it is much better--cheesier!!



  • 1 2-lb pkg frozen hash browns
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper

Place potatoes in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Season with salt and peper. Mince onions and mix together sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Pour over potatoes. Cut butter into cubes and place on top of potatoes and soup mixture. Cover with the grated cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

**Alternate method: Combine the pototoes with the soup mixture. Top with butter cubes and
cheese. This method is more like the picture above. The other method is more layered.
